RE: Firefox ??? w/regards to jpeg images

It would surprise me if FF was the problem but Ive been surprised before. I have been using the latest build and update my own about every 3 days from here at the bottom of the page - latest trunk (or any other build you are looking for): http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/ ...or here directly and pull the latest dated firefox-3.7a1pre.en-US.win32.installer.exe file - save it and install it manually - it is a complete installation program. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ Havent had a problem in quite some time.

RE: Washington DC RV Show are you going?

Went to Chantilly a few years back. I think we will go south to Richmond or Charlotte next time. Make a day of it - it should be fun.

RE: Slightly over GVWR on my F250 SD

You guys are all making me feel much better - thanks for all of your comments. I have a question on the Firestone air bags: obviously you raise the pressure when towing a trailer, but is the ride without the trailer (assuming you reduce the air pressure) reasonably smooth? Thanks...Dick I have Airlift 5000 (same as the RideRites) and I cant tell too much difference in loaded vs unloaded. But I only use about 22-30#. But it is a bit sharper. You can buy a small air tank - they type you fill to 100 PSI and carry it to refill airbags if you dont want to invest in a compressor. Or be sure you get air before breaking camp. Portable tank Ford 2001 F250 Super Duty Specifications. If you want a different year just change the year in the links: https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/topics/2001/specs.html https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/non-html/2001/fsersdcd.pdf Jaraxle is correct about the different ratings on paper. However, it difficult to understand when bolt-for-bolt they are exactly the same except the items mentioned. That is what makes discussions and posts such as this.

RE: Pullright Super Glide 18k in a long bed

I dont own one so Im not sure but from what I read there is something that keep the hitch from sliding for towing non-capture plate pin-boxes. Here is another thread where you may pick up on something to help. Someone asked for the P/N as the last post...but as of this posting, it wasnt answered yet. http://www.thedieselstop.com/forums/f32/superslide-164944/#post1332510 Your idea of drilling and applying a stop-bolt(s) may work fine too.

RE: Slightly over GVWR on my F250 SD

The 2001 F-250SD (GVWR 8800) and 2001 F-350SRW (GVWR 9900) are bolt-for-bolt identical...the only differences are the badges, the door sticker, and (on 4x4's) the rear axle spring spacers. So...does this mean I have an F350 or those with an F350 actually have an F250 :B

RE: Pullright Super Glide 18k in a long bed

They are very well made hitches - sliding or not. I believe you can lock them if you dont want the slide in effect and will reduce maintenance. I think Id keep it. Going from a short bed to long bed I wouldnt tink real estate would be too big of deal.

RE: Help with summer trip route!

You will need every bit of that time. What I would suggest is get a map of the USA. Put a band (north/south) range where you think you could visit in a day. Pick out a place to be every 2-3 days. You should make reservations well in advance. I would think of the following: - Grand Canyon in Az - Dollywood in Tn - Dollywood/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg in Tn - Williamsburg in Va - DC in Va There are a few big East Coast Colleges if they might be of interest and they are reasonably close for a day event: - Wake Univ - NC State - UNC - Duke If timing was right we have NASCAR Bristol, Martinsville, Charlotte and Rockingham all within 4 hours. http://www.united-states-map.com/usa-map.gif Have some fun with this USA map puzzle. http://www.yourchildlearns.com/mappuzzle/us-puzzle.html Oh, yeah. Come see us when you get here. We were both raised in So Cal - Burbank and Sepulveda (now North Hills) and a sister in Canoga Park right below the Santa Su pass :)

RE: Big Horn by Heartland

Dianne and Tom, Glad you posted. That is a dealer we were going to visit as well. Not too many Heartland dealers around this area. Its pretty well known that you cant trust dealers for information about matching a truck to trailer. They just want to sell. I heard the same from the Camping World just north of Pigeon Forge on hwy 40. They had 38-39 footers with 4-5 slides. They guy told me the same thing - "You could pull anything I have on my lot". Gotta look out for yourself.

RE: Big Horn by Heartland

overhill7, It shouldnt be any different from an owner of a brand in discussion on this board. They are still owners. The board is monitored by Jim Beletti who is an employee of Heartland (some kind of liaison for customers and the factory). But I believe you get added benefit as the factory too will chime in and read real customer concerns. Perhaps the OP could post back if you get any significantly different responses. To the OP: Big Horn is the second in the Heartland lineup only to the Landmark. I dont believe they will use anything inferior to any competitor in that leval of 5th wheels.

RE: Computer questions

Rightfully, no. If Im not mistaken, you try to register the software from both machines they will become aware of usage on 2 different PC's. Most std software does not have an installation limitation, but the O/S (Windows) does - about 10. After you exceed you have 30 days to register with MS or it wont load. You must call, they ask a bunch of questions, give you a new KEY that you can only use once. If you reinstall the O/S again, you must repeat the process. If you are talking about purchased Software from tech stores (Best Buy, etc) from MS, it clearly states 1 pc license at a time. Now, there are lots of clever words to make you feel better about using it on both. The term License agreement could be intrepreted as 'YOU' can only use 1 PC at a time, so you are not in voilation...and the list goes on...

RE: Firefox ??? w/regards to jpeg images

What email client (Outlook Express? Other?) The OP is apparently not using an email client, but using Firefox to access what I assume is Web Mail. Not sure which email provider the OP is using, but with Yahoo Mail, Firefox doesn't allow you to save embedded photos in emails directly. It will save the embedded photos as an html file by default. Not an issue with Gmail. You may well be right. I thought however that any email particularly web mail was really an html file (as is Outlook as default). And using Windows, I would think it would still default to the file type as posted or attached/sent. Just got this from my son who uses Yahoo mail: "You should click on the link, it will display a download now link. You click the link to download now and press save."

RE: Firefox ??? w/regards to jpeg images

What email client (Outlook Express? Other?) are you using? With most windows apps you should not need to add an extension - it will default to the type of file it is when sent. Just right click as others suggest, select "Save picture as...", select the directory and enter a name. Email clients create a very convoluted file name that you should change to something more appropriate. You shouldnt need any extension, but the save procedure may display one when it knows the file type.

RE: What size of truck to buy?

It may depend on whether you intend to buy a new or used TV. Considerations: - Some of the older vehicles (like mine 2001 F250 diesel) has lower GVWR than the newer equivalents - about 900#. - Some of the older vehicles (like mine 2001 F250 diesel) have the same parts as the SRW F350 - this has been verified several times. - Your rig/numbers very closely matches our old SunnyBrook (Sold Apr 2009). Get a diesel. If you choose a SRW and consider 250/350 - be sure there is truly a difference between the two. Otherwise you are just wasting your money.

RE: Same Name???

Sorry, I misread about 5 times. :) There can only be 1 rvtommy on that domain. Regardless of what person was intended to receive the email, it went to the rvtommy on this forum. As magicbus suggested earlier perhaps it was a typo and should have been rvtommy1. To answer the OP first questions - it isnt possible.

RE: Wide width of message?

I know sometimes posters (Im guilty) will quickly identify that their post caused a problem and go back and fix it - so scanning the OP recent posts may not identify the post he saw. Ive done it with posts where I use the url for the words displayed. When I catch myself, I go back and apply a brief description of the link - that usually fixes the problem.

RE: Same Name???

magicbus, I think his concern is it came from himself. The addressee was also himself. I don't think rvtommy actually said he got mail from himself... somebody else did. But more than likely it's just spam. Agreed. But he said it came from rvtommy. It is most likely it DIDNT come from himself, but someone with the scripting process that allows random To:/From: addresses to be applied. They have programs that will generate dynamic From: addresses so you can never reach them back.

RE: Wide width of message?

It can also happen from certain types of links. Links that wont break with a CRLF. They seem to be related to videos where there is an extremely long reference to the file. Rock, can you post an example link/thread? It will/should happen with others if it happens with yours.
