You just can't beat hot chocolate around the campfire. We like ours from the little packet mixes, but strong! Heavy on the chocolate! And of course, marshmallows on top! But for a really nice change (for adults!) try a shot of butterscotch schnapps in it! (Learned this from Bennigan's restaurant!)

I like mine with Peppermint Schnaps, or Irish Cream. Come to think of it I like Irish Cream in my coffee, or a little whiskey. I mean whiskey in the coffee not in the Irish Cream. Whiskey is also good in coke, sometimes pepsi. But then I like rum in my coke also, also like rum in that hot buttered rum mix, favorite rum is Captain Morgans Spiced Rum. Captain Morgan, he's a pirate, reminds me of having an ice cold beer on the boat.. mmmmmm

This is for anyone who was out in Elkhart this Spring....
My killer Hot Chocolate
Can of powdered hot cocoa
Powdered creamer
French Vanilla liquid creamer (I like Coffee-mate)
Coconut Rum (Parrot Bay is my favorite)
Hot water
To hot water add hot cocoa to taste (I like mine really chocolatey), then add a whopping dollop of powdered creamer and a splash of French Vanilla creamer. At this point I will stop and portion off some for the kids. It should be thick and rich tasting. To the remaining hot chocolate add a shot or two (or three or four) of coconut rum. Sit in front of the fire and enjoy!
Warning...this recipe will put you to sleep if you are not careful!

I agree with the suggestion of Baileys Irish Cream. I have also used both Baileys and butterscotch schnaupps in my hot chocolate...it gives it a caramel flavor. Although the coconut rum does sound really good, too!
Sounds like a bunch of "rummies" here! but if you insist, I like hot chocolate in my "Appleton's Jamaican Rum".
