This recipe is really good it was my grandmothers. If you dont like bean sprouts you can leave them out.
Ground Beef Oriental
2 onions chopped
1 cup sliced celery
3 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 cup (uncooked) rice
1 lb. ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can bean sprouts
1 can Chinese noodles
Brown onions and celery in butter. Put into a 13x9 pan. Brown ground beef and rice then add to onions and celery, add soups, water, soy sauce, and pepper, stir. Add drained bean sprouts, Bake covered 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover bake 30 minutes longer. Last 5 minutes of baking you can sprinkle Chinese noodles over top.
Do you brown the uncooked rice like you do with Rice-A-Roni, or did you leave out the step calling for the rice to be cooked? We are going to try this but just wanted to be sure about the rice.
NO! I'm not THAT "Pancho Villa"
Did you ever notice: The Roman Numerals for forty (40) are "XL"
