I have an 84 22' coachmen that has no model name. The tag calls it a 22db, meaning it has a double bed.
Other than the frame box and the craftsmanship (or lack of same) most trailers share most parts. I have just rebuilt mine to the point that I think I'll rename it!
I had spent some considerable time reviewing the Coachmen TT's. Even though mine did not have a valid name, I was able to review prior units that did have the name of Cadet. The basic floor plans are very close to being 90%+ the same. The hardware for appliacnes and such were just newer and better products over the previous decade. Even the interior wall paper and trim are identical.
Many of the late 1970's Cadet's even have the very same outer siding and windows. The rear bumper is identical too, along with the hitch and LP tanks. A 1978 Cadet 16ft was like my TT too.
I found a Coachmen Cadet 24' Bunkhouse that has all of the same things my Cadet has for the interior items. The exterior even has the same entrance door, trim and wheels! http://www.adventurecamperco.com/coachman_cadet.html
A 1984 Coachmen has different windows types and the sink and counter tops are a different material and color. Also, starting in that year, the ceiling and wall trims are different. http://www.juniatavalleyrv.com/usedprod.htm

I am a coachmen PRO!! my parents had a 1984 Coachmen, with no "sub" name, which is common for coachmens from about 82-85, the only name used during this period was royal and classic, after 85 they came out with names such as, catalina, crusader, royal. TRUST me on this i am a loyal coachmen owner myself, (1997 298fk TT) so anything you want to know about coachmen let me know!!!!, the Catalina name is on BOTH TT, and FW's, Ryan
I just call mine a Coachmen Cadet since it matches up very well with the other Cadets. A name is far beter than saying 25XYZ-7 or whatever.
We just looked at a 2000 Skyline and a 1995 Coachmen this week. The 1995 Coachmen was better built and the quality still is very noticable. The 2000 Skyline, though newer, looked really worn. The Coachmen still looked fresh and new.
The 1995 Coachmen is a Catalina M-299-TB. They are asking $7,900 for it. It's a little higher in price than the NADA listing would be for the unit. However, in our neck of the woods, Coachmen units are hard to come by. There are no dealers nearby for hundreds of miles.

good choice with the 1995 coachmen, gotta stick with the dalamation!! 7900 seems a bit steep, should be around the 6000 range being 11 years old, 299TB not a bad trailer, fairly light considering theres no slide, what are you towing it with???, enjoy, Ryan
We passed up the 1995 Coachmen. I needed some TLC to get it where we wanted it. The owners left everything in it from their last outing. It was not even clean. Looking beyond the dirt, there was more work to do.
My 1982 seems to be in better care.
Coachmen makes a Captive 265EX. However, Aerolite makes a nice 26QS. Both are identical floor plans. The Aerolite has larger storage tanks. The Coachmen has larger beds by 4-inchs.
