Everything is white and frosty, and it is about 25 degrees!
I really don't even want to go get the paper!
Or anything else outside.
The sun is shining, though, so maybe it will warm up a little.

Got the front AND back yard mowed, kept going over the leaves, and over them to where no leaves in the front yard and not many left in the back yard...all mulched into the lawn...yeah...I'm happy...Believe I'm going to wash the truck, yeah...why not...Company gave us shots today, left arm was a flu shot and right arm was pneumonia shot...it was free, thought I'd go for the gusto....hope all of you are having a great day...take care out there....talk to you later...............

Can't picture the snow around here again, yet. Jim, how do you get so much done around the house? My folks in VA had lots of rain and wind last night. A tree fell and created an escape hatch in a corner bedroom. They say you can see the sky now from inside.

Wow Wing, I hope they are in no danger. We too had a lot of wind and rain, had a number of trees uprooted, not us, but this area. We have an old water oak in our back yard that has to be 200 years old and I worry about it falling. Luckily it is far enough away from our house that it is no real danger to the house, but I sure dont like to walk under it any more than I have to. We had a beautiful day here today. the sun was so brite and cheery. Our yard is still pretty soft tho, so Kahlan and I didnt play too much. I think I am going to get her a trampoline for Christmas, she loves to jump on the bed Already got a couple of things stored in the garage for her. Just love to see those little happy faces on Christmas morning.

Stopped raining last night, sun came out, wind blew a little and the leaves and ground were "mostly dry". Asheville had almost 4" of rain, some places got over 6"....yeah...drought to flood...go figure..grandkids are here...gotta roll............

Possibly as low as 19 degrees tonight, but supposed to be back into the 50 next week. Hey, it's good...West Yellowstone gets possible 2 BELOW this week, and more snow! Sure glad I don't live anywhere along the West Yellowstone/Bozeman corridor!
Most of last night's snow has melted, but it can be tricky driving, especially bridges and overpasses. There's a lot of "black ice" on them, where they were wet from melt, then froze.
They said on the local news that the Westbound lanes of I-90 were closed for over 2 hours last night due to slick conditions and an 8 vehicle pile-up!
The way the weather has been, some folks will never get used to winter driving this year!

I just got some pics of the damage. The tree was huge, and seemed to be fairly far off from the house. The roof is crushed, a limb extends into the bedroom. Ceiling beams are broken. A big pool of water fills the hole where the roots were. More chores to do...

I quit looking at thermometers. Too depressing. From now until summer, it will be "warm" or "cold" or "too cold" or "colder'n a witch's mammary gland in a brass supporting structure" (that isn't an exact quote, but this IS, after all, a family forum).
The horses broke down the fence wire I had across the hay shed door, so had to go to Tractor Supply and buy a gate. Then, of course, I had to install it. The mud was just starting to thaw. Sure glad I got it done before that muck thawed all the way!
The truck did NOT want to wake up to go get that gate this morning! I cycled the manifold heater three times, and it still didn't like the idea! Winter blend fuel should be in the stations now, I should go top the truck off one of these paydays. Y'never know, I might need it for something this winter!
I best go fix a sandwich. Hmmm...peanut butter, honey, and banana...YEAH!!!
Bananas were 39 cents a pound the other day! I grabbed a few.
Later, y'all...
