I need a couple of tune up specs for my 6.5NHE Emerald-III Onan generator.I was able to discern that the valve last is .005/.013 In./Ex. and the spark plug gap of .025".
But, can anybody tell me the gap for the breaker points and the float level dimension for the carb.?

The help is greatly appreciated!

Thanx,
Bud

almost all points for onan set at .020 including yours i'm not at work and don't have my service manuals with me but i think your valve lash is off and the carbs are realy not rebuildable and are best replaced or left alone if it's running god

I pulled the valve lash specs from Perr's small engine website. Hmmmm well, if you can (or whomever) can you give me the valve lash specs too? It runs great but it blows black smoke when I fire it up cold. The choke is hooked up and operates freely as does the butterfly. The pull-off diaphragm is also fine and working well. It just throws alot of fuel into the airstream when you go to fire it up.
BTW, it is a 6.5NHE-1R/26100A (spec A) genset
Many thanx,
Bud
