Anybody ever heard of the manufacturer "Volunteer". From seeing some different models at campgrounds, I have determined that it was manufactured either from Midas, or Norris. I think Norris is closer, since I saw a much larger, but very similar in body style Travel trailer marked with "Norris" on it of the same vintage. Mine is a 1971 model. It's a HEAVY little trailer, weighting in "road ready" at 4200 pounds, but it's only 18 feet long. Most of the interior cabinetry is exceptionally well make, like what one would find in a home of the same era. All the plumbing is copper piping and other household fittings, so I guess all this household-grade stuff is what makes it so heavy!
I want to do some work to it to make it sellable first however. The water heater broke a long time ago, and there's some rotted wood in the back compartment area that needs replacing after a long-ago leak that had been repaired, but it's damage wasn't.

I hope it isn't a Midas=made trailer! We have had 10 trailers, and the biggest piece of junk was made by Midas in 1972--it was so forgettable I can't remember the brand name! I think we paid $3000, new, for it including the hitch.

I had a 1973 Volunteer made by Midas. It was set up on a site near Kentucky Lake. I bought it from a friend who bought it from the original owner (I knew them also). I gave it to my brother a few years ago and it is still at the same place.
Here's some pictures of the interior of it. It's a little dusty and messy inside, as I haven't had an opportunity to clean up fully from a busy summer of road trips! I've got a few things disassembled for cleaning, like the air conditioner cover. Mom made those curtains for me. The old ones looked really bad, although the hippie floral pattern sort of fit the vintage of the camper!
I have a 1971. It lasted till 2005 when a roof leak made me move out. It handled extreme winter weather well. The rain hitting the roof made me sleep wonderfully. Only issue is mice find way in on deep snow days. They love the insulation and wont leave. It is also not well insulated. The propane furnace operated great for 20 years. Good Luck with your old faithful. By the way the leaks appear frrom the three roof seams on the roof. To late for me................
