I sure hope I am posting this in the right place. This is my first post and want to get it right. We are trying to schedule a white water rafting trip on the Ocoee for early June but can't seem to find any RV sights. We will be rafting out of McCaysville Georgia. Is it because the roads are too difficult for rv's that there are so few? If so maybe we should rethink our plans.
Thank you for your help.
there are two forestry park campgrounds just minutes from the lake/river. both have 30 amp service.this part of the occoee has the best white water rafting around.
Most outfitters have camping at there place and most can accomadate RV's. Back when I rafted the Occoee, I had a pop-up so it was no problem. Ask your outfitter, unless your on a private trip, then better check the dam realease schedule.

Try thinking about it from the other direction and look for parks just over the border in Georgia: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/Georgia/Toccoa.html
There is a new park just over the NC line on 64. I don't remember the name but there were all size rigs parked there. It is between Copperhill and Murphy.
