Hwy 74 does have it's share of traffic but not as much as I-40 and I-44. I have been on hwy 33 many times and it is a good two lane road. Just something to think about.
Elliot, the above would be my chosen route also. Mucho less traffic this way. This will put you at the N of Mercy and turn right before you cross over Kilpatrick Xprsswy and left under it at McArthur Blvd.
