You might find a site at Darien Lakes State Park in Darien Center (between Rochester and Buffalo). That's not too far from the Thruway and pretty easy to get in and out of. I'd call ahead, though. When there is a concert in town, then you should avoid it. There's a Flying J at that intersection, too.

I don't know where in MA you are coming from, but Turning Stone (which is lovely,) is probably a good two hours on 90 from the MA line. That is a very nice cg.
The Weedsport one is called Riverforest and is at exit 40 off the Thruway. That one is 18 miles west of Syracuse, so add about an hour from Verona. That's $25 a night with $2 for electric. Have never been there but it sounds good. It is Passport. Riverforest
Your EZ Pass will work in NY - if you have one.

I live in Rockport but will be starting out from Woburn. I do have these two camping areas in mind. Thank you. Have you been to Riverforest?

And may you be a long time in heaven before the devil knows you're gone.

There is one you can see from the I-90 between Rochester & Syracuse called Junius Ponds.
Never stayed there, but it is as close as you can get to the Thruway.

We stayed at Turning Stone a few weeks ago and loved it - beautiful facility, great staff, and a free shuttle to the casino that picks you up and drops you off at your site. We didn't gamble, but the choice of restaurants at the casino was nice.

There's a KOA in Canandaigua (Rochester). We don't do KOAs so I can't comment on it.
