Crystal and Stevens have hook up sites available in addition to over night parking. I believe there is a charge to just park overnight now.
Snoqualmie has a overnight parking area at Summit Central. I do not think there are any charges for that.

Recently camped in the Whistler Village dirt parking lot overnight with no problem.

Also, not in the northwest, but Durango (Purgatory), Angel FIre, and Taos are camper friendly, at least as of last year.

Hodoo ski area off US 20. $15 a night for no hook ups or $30 a night w/ electricity.

Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood. I don't know the details, but the do permit RV parking overnight.

We stay at Meadows every weekend. It only cost you a parking pass and they don't have hook up's

I know your not looking for hookups, but for the times you want them this place is great. Fresh water and Sani at every site, also cable. It is not roughing it, but for $50 a night your staying in whistler with access to the mountins and village.

Where is the location of this dirt lot at Whistler, was there other RVs there?

Very nice pics but at 50 bucks a night I think I will pass. Typical Whistler pricing though and not a surprise. It seems that many of the people up there really think they have something oh so special. I guess it is a matter of taste. I personally could think of many other places to go just as beautiful in the winter with thousands less people and way cheaper parking spaces.

We are planning a Spring Break trip up to Mt Washington in central Vancouver Island.

I sent them an e-mail a few weeks ago. Got this nice, prompt reply:

"Here on the mountain we do offer overnight parking for RV's however there are no hook ups and there is a maximum 3 night stay. Our overnight parking is in the Sunrise Parking lot, located right near the Sunrise Chairlift."

Sounds good to me.

Take care.

Steve.

I think it was this lot - map these coords on Google Maps - 50.119546,-122.952923

I didn't see any other RV's there the night we stayed, and I have no idea if we just got lucky or if they really don't care. Back in high school I slept in the back of a van in a Whistler day lot and nobody cared either, for what it's worth!
