We looked at some CC's before buying our DSDP. The salesman talked only to me and pretty much ignored my wife. Not a good idea!
Went to the local Toyota dealer in 1988, they completely ignored us, wouldn't even come out of the back room. Went to the Honda dealer the next day and bought an Accord. Wife has never been back to the Toyota dealer and and we've bought almost nothing but Honda's since and NEVER a Toyota.

I grew up dirt poor. I have done well in life. One salesman who knew me growing up waited on me when I went to buy a new tow vehicle. He would not even let me drive it without him in the cab with me.That is not a dealership policy. I did not buy from him. I went to another dealer and bought one. Now my BIL is a manager in the franchise he works for. I visit my BIL at work at his office often and I don't even speak to the salesman.Maybe this sweats him a little bit.

Yes, On a Toyota I was getting ready to buy about ten years ago. No reason to be a jerk, I just took my business to the Chevy dealer and have ever since.

Looking to buy a new diesel truck. Salesperson who I bought two trucks from and the sales manager started a song and dance routine on a purchase. So I went elsewhere. After I bought my truck I drove into the old dealer lot, waved and flipped them the bird and drove off.

I haven't had anybody get smart with me. But have had them try to double team me. I let them know in no uncertain terms, I don't go for that kind of tactic's and walk.

As a matter of fact, just happened to me yesterday. I own a 2008 Montana and have a 2008 Chevy2500 and was in the Chevy when I drove into a dealership. I was looking for an older B van or very small Class C, actually to use as a vehicle to use for day trips or doctor appts, etc. Husband is somewhat disabled and this would make it easier. Sales "consultant" had to get a whole bunch of info before she would even answer my question, then said, "no, we don't have anything like that." Gave me a brochure with her card on it and when I got home, looked at it and saw that the dealership carries a line of fivers which I am interested in as they are about 3,000# lighter than my current one. As she didn't even attempt to show me anything on the lot, I didn't see the fifth-wheel that could be a future purchase. Guess she was too tired or my business wasn't that important. Well, it certainly won't be... so long.....
