wellllllllll. My financing was supposedly all wrapped up yesterday, documents should have been here today for me to sign.

I just got a call from the agent with some interesting news. I'll use round numbers here but even though the unit is a 'new' 2008 its not NEW anymore so they have to go by wholesale price. They graciously go to 110% over wholesale...yeah well that 'aint' enough!

They are telling me the camper wholesales for $5000 and change less that I negotiated on paying(which is 26% off list price by the way which I thought was GREAT) and ($3,000 less than the dealer actually paid for it, as I saw his invoice). So they will only give me a portion of what we had agreed on.

So now I have to decide if I want to pony up another $2000 in addition to the $1000 I already put down.

I personally dont think the dealer will come down anymore and I also dont want $3000 of CC bills hanging over my head when I know there $1000-1500 worth of stuff I will need/want for the camper in the near future.

My question is...why am I just find out about this now? They knew what I was buying mid-last week when I applied! PITA!

thanks for letting me vent!

I would try another bank or try your personal bank, they will know you better and may wave these conditions.

Join a Credit Union. We financed 1/2 of our purchased price and we were only charged $15 for the loan fee.

Great advice. Credit Unions don't play all the games banks do with fees and conditions.

I would really hesitate to this bank my business.
