I just installed 6 Michelin LTX M/S tires at Costco, they filled them with Nitrogen at N/C and said they would adjust the pressures everytime I take my camper off and on, I thought that was great service.

I have worked in racing and aviation and they have different reasons for using nitrogen.
In racing it is done for predictability of performance and it helps maintain pressure in the tire longer. A racing slick is nothing like a car tire. The rubber on the sidewalls and tread is extremely thin. This is necessary to keep heat buildup down at high speeds. The problem is with such thin walls is normal air will migrate through easier than pure nitrogen.
In aircraft it is primarily for fire protection. Compressed air is extremely flammable.
In a normal street car it is just a gimmick, but if you can get it for free go for it.

Sorry, N2 and O2 are both molecules and N2 is indeed larger when in comes to escaping from tires http://www.getnitrogen.org/pdf/graham.pdf

You can get it for free if you purchase new tires...and they will adjust them for free...of course out on the road its different..
I just wanted to know if anybody had any real world monitoring....my truck according to my tire sensors does wander even from tire to tire and of course from hot to cold..

My neighbor, Amedeo Avogadro IV, told me to keep using air.

That what I was thinking. If you never fully deflate your tires, they should end up with more and more nitrogen.
For the record, I think any difference is irrelevant for auto/RV use.

I run 60lbs empty and 80lbs loaded and can take the camper on and off several times a month. I just stick with air. Do not have time to run around trying to find nitrogen.
