My DW has only pulled the trailer once, off the leveling blocks. I have told her that she is quite capable, but she isn't confident. She prefers the navigator role (she's been telling me where to go for about 30 years now).

My Father-in-law owned concession trailers for several years. After working with him, my wife is very good at directing me into a campsite or lining me up to hook it up. At one state park, the other campers were a little disappointed when we backed into a tight campsite without any of the yelling and swearing they expected.
I guess DH and I are the exception! I drive the HTT all the time! Many times I have hooked it up myself and taken it where it has to go. Alot of times the kids and I travel to our destination and DH will come right from work. We get everything parked, leveled, unhooked and set up, all he has to do when he gets there is grab a cold one. It seems people are surprised when they see a woman driving our rig, backing it in and doing it sometimes all by herself. Got to say, I'm proud of myself for learning how to do it and I'm pretty darn good at backing that rig into a site!
DW has not driven any of the TT's, except in a CG. This is our third TT in 3 years (we upgraded quickly). She can hitch and unhitch completely, as can DD (14) and DS (13). Our longest trip has been 800 miles one way, but this summer we will be doing a 5000 mile loop-she will have to do some of the driving, but not in Yellowstone or the Tetons. She is a very capable driver and will have nodifficulties with going forward (although she does have a lead foot)
