I searched the archives for a while tonight, and could not find what might work for us. We have a 9.5' Shadow Cruiser TC, and pull a horse trailer behind. The door of course, lines up direct with the hitch. The acordion type steps did not work, as I could not extend them to the ground with the horse trailer hitched, and I leave it hitched 99% of the time when we are camping. Right now, I have a folding platform that just barely spans over the top of the hitch, and then I strap a second small step stool on to it, and then use the whole thing to climb into my camper. Did I mention it is a 4x4, so a tad higher than some? Looking for something else, that is very stable, will clear the hitch, and goes high enough for our taller camper. Anyone have photos of what they use? Thanks so much
I have looked for something like this for some time. I have folding steps which work fine when the camper is on the truck, but I need a three steps when off the truck. Most three step stools I have looked at have a safety bar across the top which would be in the way of the door on the camper. If this ladder's safety rail can be folded out of the way, then I would buy this.
I try to park with our boat trailer angled a bit to the left. Since the camper door is offset slightly to the right, the scissor steps extend over the trailer tongue to the ground. Discovered this worked by accident one day.

Just squeeze the two handles you see just above the top step and it tips forward and down. My brother just drilled the rivets out and removed his completely.
I've found plenty of uses for this ladder around home and for reaching things up high on the sides of the camper (like the range vent cover latch).

extension.
larry.
Another option is to park with the trailer slightly jacknifed. Then stairs could reach the ground.
Now this is something I can dwell on, and see if I can have made up for our rig. I can not always jacknife the rig enough, as we often park at horse events, with limited parking, and we have to stay pretty much straight. Anyone else with something like the above?

I don't know exactly what would suite your needs but I am ordering an item from Cabelas for about $35.00 that goes under the ball and provides a step on either side of the coupling while the trailer is on or not.
