Oh, I don't know how great, considering that we more than doubled our original budget, and we do need to get new shocks, only to find that the tires on the truck were too big, which meant that we spent another amount getting 6 new tires to replace 6 (4 of which were virtually new by all appearances). Ah, yes, just like the saying about boats, a hole that you fill with money.

But, we now have someplace to live if we lose our house .

If it allows us to spend more time together as a family before our 12YO goes to college (he better get a scholarship or two...), then I think it will be worth it.

Congrats on your new Bigfoot. BTW, did you ever mention the truck that you put this on? I may have missed this.

The tires were too wide and especially with the camper on, the rear tires were touching. This would have lead to major problems, such as double blow outs..

A cheaper alternative would have been rear wheel spacers. Many do this and it looks like a good option if you buy the right ones.

Big Foot is out of business.
What is that going to do in case of warranty issues?
I used to own a Northern Light, which is similar to a Big Foot.
Owned it 10 year, good camper. But we needed more space and bought a Lance 992.
We also did not like the Northern Light's scissor steps, which are the same as Big Foots.
My wife fell once and hurt her self pretty bad.
This is our first summer in the Lance, and so far so good.
For the Lance 992 you need a dually truck because it's fairly heavy.
