IMO, 'Sportsmobile' has not considered adjusting to this huge price drop...their used 'Class B' pricing is 'INSANE'...
That's because their used vans are on *consignment*. The owners set the prices, most of which are negotiable.

Back in early '05 (pre-Katrina) we were living in Las Vegas and I had a preminition that gas prices were going to skyrocket. Plus, our 8 mpg '88 Suburban and 30' Arctic Fox TT were deteriorating before our eyes while sitting in the sun, so I thought, lets trade it all in and get a Class B. Amazingly I found there were no B dealers in Las Vegas. The nearest I found was McMahon's in Irvine CA, with whom we quickly made a deal over the phone (trade-in sight unseen). First time in my 63 years that I predicted something correctly (gas price hike).

I'm trying to understand the logic concerning the lack of used B's on the market. It appears to me that they are very expensive considering that you probably can't live in them for extended periods. That leaves me with the fact that the owners have so much money devoted to owning them that they can't get rid of them without taking a huge loss. I'm probably way off base here and overly generalizing. On a recent trip to the mountains of NC I saw ads for mountain homes galore. Selling for unbelieveably low prices. I deduced that these were second, vacation homes and because of the economy people couldn't afford them any longer and were just getting rid of them. At least they had equity in them unlike a motor home.
Just thinking (rare for me) out loud.

I was amazed that the dealer that had my (new 2007 model on a 2006 chassis) B would not dicker on the price. Now he did do some extras for me (awning, tow hitch & wiring) but no price reduction even though I had my own financing. I did get to test drive it before I bought it and I was lucky it was only 1 hour away. As stated above, figure out what you want, find it and go get it.
