Sadly, that's what the area lakes here (Canyon Lake in particular) look like. Each summer the water levels drop a little further. There are a few signs in this area that seem out of place like that now.

I thought that was maybe Honey Lake across the road from where my SIL used to live down in CA. That is what the lake looks like there.

funny sign, sad state of water supply. sign reminds me of one i saw for Crater Lake, next to a mud puddle. thing is, California has a "Crater Lake", it's the opposite of the spectactular "Crater Lake" of Oregon.

rondy, you're just up the road from me (springfield here). i know the area, honey lake. i've seen water there, not very often. What is "SIL"? and why would anyone live in that area? Land/houses must be almost free???
