Folks will claim the grill won't work with a dual regulators!!!!! Does your grill work with its attached regulator? What grill?
Yes IF the 'line' and quick disconnect are rated for 'container pressure' like 350 psi or so, the pop off is set to 325 psi?
That would be similar to adding the extend a flow plus tee and hose.

The extender kits mentioned DO tee in ahead of the tank reg and they use expensive and bulky fittings. Outdoor gas appliances like turkey friers, bbq and rv grills etc. don't have much for federal regulations and the mfgrs can come up with really odd orifice/regulator pressures. Orifice pressure is NOT etched in stone - it can be any pressure that will provide the right air/fuel mixture for the burner design. I'm a certified gas appliance tech and LOVE to tinker, so playing with my grill didn't cost me anything. I don't think my way would cost any more than the extender kits and it is really clean looking but I can't say if it would work with other grills without making special fittings and hooking up gauges at all the different pressure points. And anyone that says you can't have 2 regs doesn't realize that most gas systems have 2 regs - except for the cheap/junk outdoor stuff. Craig

I have the RVQ and yes it works with the attached regulator. Just seems like an easier job since it plugs into the main line about 4 feet from the main tanks.

The RVQ's regulator 'wants' low pressure input. Not designed for direct 'container pressure' connection.
It regulates to 10".

If anyone is considering switching the line to the quick disconnect from the low pressure to tank pressure be aware the quick disconnect itself is only rated for 11wc. On tank pressure it will leak. I speak from personal experience. After discovering it leaking on tank pressure I looked closely and found the 11wc pressure maximum marked on the quick-disconnect valve. There are similar valves that are rated for tank pressure.
BTW, I don't know where the 325psi pressure number for tank pressure came from someone posted. I have a Victor regulator on a 20# propane tank used for another purpose (See rodenator.com) and the full tank is 130psi.

Container pressure, liquid propane, not overfilled, not in use is based on temperature (vapor pressure).
Where I live, container pressure was ~ 130 psi this morning (80 low temp) and will be in excess of 170 psi this afternoon. It's a lot less when/where I camp - cooler.

You guys are correct about the valve. Says max 16 lbs. Doesn't make any sense to spend that kinda money for that kit when I basically already have it here with my 7 lb tank and 6' extension hose. Thanks for all your help everyone
