On this forum I can 'subscribe'
to a topic. If I do that, I
am given a choice.....I can
receive an email notice of each
reply to the topic.....I understand
this option.......but, I can chose
NOT to have an email notification.
If I chose that option, what is the
benefit of subscribing? How does
that option work?

That is exactly what I do, subscribe with no email notification. In the upper right hand corner you should see "My Forums".... click on that, it should bring you to a page listing all the forums that you have subscribed to. Once you figure it out, it works very well. Oh, make sure you are signed in for this to work.
When I come to OpenRoads, I usually first go to "My Forums", read through those, then go to "Newest", then "Active", then maybe to "Travel Trailers".
