We just used our Popup Gizmos for the first time on a trip down to Cape Hateras a couple of weeks ago. We have the Super High Wind version and they performed very well through several thunderstorms that rolled through while we were there. The temperature difference was very noticeable. I had to spend a fair amount of time sitting in the rear bunk doing some work on a previous trip and it was very hot during the day. With the Gizmos it was a lot better.
If you like the Gizmos, you may also like the Reflectix mod for the bunk end windows. This also helped with temperature control. A side benefit for us is both the Gizmos and the Reflectix make the bunk ends significantly darker so the kids sleep later. Scroll down here to see a picture of what the Reflectix looks like:

For our 23B, I used a 4' by 25' roll of Reflectix from Lowes and was able to do a panel for each of the windows with enough left over to make a nice shiny hat, but the wife won't let me wear it... . We store the Reflectix panels behind the couch when we're not using them.
We, too, were in Cape Hatteras the 1st week in August. Windy, rainy, sunny and hot. I have the high-wind version and like FourOs stated above, Reflectix in my windows. We felt comfortable, the a/c ran nicely, and nothing blew away (and that's some strong wind down there!) I also have the bunk end fans going and put a layer of reflectix under the mattresses. Not a drop of condensation this go around. I think I'm getting the hang of this!

Thanks for the pictures of how you installed your Super High Wind PUG's.......I noticed that you had a rounded gutter on your bunkend.
On the Roo, we have a straight gutter across that feels quite sharp at the end. We are leary of putting the gizmos there because we don't want to rip them...
Not sure if using the velcro will solve it because of the tension that the bungees will give on it.
Two of the clips on each side at the top almost solved the slippage problem for us this weekend. We are going to try one more thing on our next outing in a few weeks and think we will have a solution then...we will update again..
Good news though, we only had one bunk end covered with the gizmo - what a difference they made on temperature and condensation. There was almost none at the kids end vs ours....

We camped with the grandkids this past weekend and forgot to put on the gizmos, what a difference!
It got very cold and damp and we felt it, I'm sure it would have been much more comfortable with the PUGs on.
I have the right to remain silent but not the ability!

You can buy the sportsman blankets from Camping World or Campmor for $11.99 each. My hybrid required three. No bunjee cords but alligator clamps hold them on nicely. I see no evidence that the material is any different then the popup gizmos. If your hang up is bunjee cords, it would be fairly simple to add some grommets.

I have another question. When I mentioned to our dealer that we were going to use the reflectex under the bunk, he told us the aluminum would rub off onto the bed and ruin them. Have any of you had this problem? Just finished making the window covers and can't wait to use them. The PUG on the top made a huge difference, so I'm assuming that covering the windows will be even better. We spend the winters in Florida with our Jayco 23B and condensation can be a real problem, along with mildew. I am hoping this year will be different.

Don't know about any of you all, but my Reflectix doesn't rub off! I have it under my mattress right now while I'm camping here in Williamsburg, VA. I use it during the winter and summer months; and have been for the past 2 seasons. . . no rub off!!! Just great results!

Having an extra layer of protection from the cold, birds, tree pitch, etc... on your bunkends. Very nice.
Not waking up to an inside rain shower. A must.
Having the good folks at PUG send you your custom made covers no muss no fuss. Priceless.
