This past summer we did a partial-trans-Ontario vacation. Crossed over at Sault Saint Marie and stayed at Pancake Bay PP (very beautiful - get next to the lake - the sites further out have road noise), then went to Sudbury where we visited relatives, Killarney (very nice), Grundy Lake (okay, but not great), then Pog Lake in Algonquin (very nice), then down to Niagara (more relatives), and ended up crossing back over (late at night) at Buffalo.

Next time we plan to visit relatives in Kapuskasing (and check out Rene Brunelle PP), then proceed west all the way around Lake Superior. I can't wait!

If travelling in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), just remember to stay off the 407ETR (electronic toll route). THIS ARTICLE describes some of the nightmares that locals are having.....

I'm not sure if Kentucky has a reciprocal agreement with the 407ETR, but better be safe than sorry!

Having said that, please visit our beautiful province! And as others have said, it certainly is large.

I have made visits to Ontario for 70 of the last 71 years and thoroughly enjoy all the areas. I have even driven a 45' motorcoach onto the Chichimon ferry across Georgian Bay. That is a nice ride. Depending on your interests there is something to enjoy. The only year I missed (2004) was because I had a fall on my way there and ended up in the hospital.
