Looking for info on dry camping with atv trail access around Moab. Found one rv park (Archview) with trail access but was wondering about BLM or other campgrounds that might have atv trail access.

Thanks in advance.

There is a road just north of archview campground that runs out to the east where folks dry camp. It is a mile or two north. You can take Kane creek rd out of moab and camp along the river or keep following that rd out, would eventually go out to chicken corners. Lots of dry camping out there. There are a couple of switch back turns that would keep you from taking a big trailer out there.

You need a map from BLM to show the areas that are open to camping, things have changed there over the last 2 years and around Moab on BLM the campsite must be marked by them. Maps showing trails and campsites that are open are free.
Archview is a good place to stay with access to some trails but dry camping gives you a lot more area to ride.

Maps are good, but they are getting better about marking where you can or can't camp.

Archveiw is nice but noisy from road traffic....If you drive up 313 towards Canyonlands NP you will come to a couple BLM campng area...Gemini bridges has some sites, its about 15 miles up from archview..Also about 10 miles up there is a group campsite on right,,turn in on the gravel road... good road.. bypassing the group site turn off,, and continue down the gravel road and you will find a few nice sites one straight ahead on a hill....have fun....and dont pay to camp,,they sell water for rv at Archveiw for $5.00 to fill...$5.00 to dump

If you're street legal, you can go anywhere, but the 4 lane highway through the middle of town. Sure does open up your options.

I ride a dual sport but the kids ride quads. I'm going to try Archview for my first trip to get familiar with the area.

Thanks for all the input.
