I wish you guys would quit your whining. There lots of the "less fortunate" living in Cal that rely on taxes and fees that you pay so they can sit home and not work. It seems we owe them a living, so suck it up and shell it out .. and smile :-)

I couldn't agree more!

They passed a few more taxes yesterday....They even put a tax on Aspirin.... because it works!

$505 for my five year old truck and $407 for my three year old trailer plus $50 per toy every two years and fees to pay when I want to use "public" lands to ride on, not to mention the gas taxes we pay to keep our roads (budget) balanced or something along those lines.

Hey Mr Moderator who do we ask to get a little smilie guy thats eating popcorn? In this thread I think it would be appropriate as I am just waiting to see how much worse it's going to get.

BTW in WA I just paid my $74.00 for tabs. It was $34 for the TH and $40 for the Vanity Plate that was already on it?

Good Gawd, what do they charge you to hug a tree over there? No wonder finances are so bad over there, all the taxes sound counter productive to have the economy to move forward. On the other hand it must be a good buisness to move used vehichles into the state.

I am not sure about the used vehicle part. My 2002 truck just cost me right at $350 for it's tags. You also have to pay California sales tax on a vehicle when you bring it into the state. They get you no matter what.

California's answer to everything is to raise taxes, create new fees, and double existing fees. I don't think the thought of reducing spending has occurred to them yet. Gov't figures showed that in 2006 illegal aliens cost the state 10.5 billion dollars. Throw them out and eliminate the welfare lifestyle and maybe I wouldn't have to pay $400 to register my 2002 truck

California used to be the worst state, but here in Taxorado they doubled our registration fees on July 1. I had to pay $80 for a crappy $250 trailer, and I'm expecting $800 for my TH and $800 for the TV. All in Nov/Dec. I told the kids that they are getting coal in their stockings this year!
