I have a 2003 CRV and have wired a second set of lights in the rear but the lights will not light up brightly. You can almost see them at night. I bought a magnet set of tow lights and placed them on top and they light brightly. Any Ideas? I have changed the bulbsand the lightd do work as they should but do not light up brightly.

Sound like a ground issue to me. Time to pull out the multi-meter and start checking resistance.

I agree with Center Pin. Almost certain you have a bad ground.

Or, because of the poor location of the new bulbs they just can't be seen? There have been more than one report here of poor lighting from the add'l bulbs not being in the correct location for the reflector to properly reflect the light. That's why I'm not a big fan of them and much prefer the diodes.

Does your coach have separate brake and turn lights?

If so, you have a 3 (left turn, right turn, brake) to 2 (left turn/brake and right turn/brake) ADAPTER.

Many of these adapters use poor quality diodes that have a lot of voltage loss across them.

So IF you have this adapter/wiring set-up, check voltage IN and OUT of the adapter and then at the lights at the back of the toad.

Let's face it, if you only have 11.5 VDC at the lights in back of the toad, they WON'T be bright.

There are some higher quality 3-2 adapters out there. If this is the issue, let us know.

Ended up being the plug that came with the blue ox lighting. Finaly replaced it and all's well
