We frequently discuss the merits of the various ERS plans here, so I thought it might be interesting to see how the tow operators rate them.

The chart below is from the "towPartners" web site, where the chart is updated regularly as new data is submitted by the members. towPartners is arguably the largest towing and recovery operators membership organization in the US. Because of ongoing updating, the "live" numbers at their site may differ a bit from my screen capture. The "Member Rating" column is probably the best indicator of their overall satisfaction with a given club. For those that don't know it, Road America is the contractor that Affinity/Good Sam uses to provide their ERS service. Not all of the clubs listed provide RV service.

Interesting. Looks like Coach Net is top, then Allstate, and then Good Sam (road America), for the ones I've heard of that do RV's. Did I get that right?

Yep, that's the way it reads to me. Unless you include AAA too. I've seen Progressive mentioned for RV's sometimes, but I don't recall who handles their ERS for them.

Well... I'm not sure I see any huge differences? All of those listed don't seem to have any statistical advantage.

I have to admit that I didn't pay a lot of attention in Stat 101 and almost flunked out due to Econ 52, But, I don't see a big difference.

Would you rather be paid $31.87 for a five mile tow? Or, $47.32---48% more?

States I have spent the night in my current rig, bought three years ago.
Have RV'ed through 49 states and been in all 50, just short of my half-century.

So, what is this supposed to prove. This only shows who the tow operators like, surely based on how they are treated. Doesn't have anything to do with how RV owners are treated.

If a tow operator got two calls at the same time from two different motor clubs, which one do you think would have priority? Of course the chart is based on how they are treated... And how well they are paid... And how fast they are paid... I prefer my tow operator to be happy that he's handling my call.
