Walt,

You are welcome. Given that you have a 14 foot roof and possibly an AC, I would definitely encourage you to get the 12 Volt lift system.

Hey,

Congrats on getting it, now there will be a second E4 owner on the forum. We just need to convince Ruide to get one....


I didn't get it, only because at the point in time I was buying, Fleetwood was having major issues with their power lifts...

I have it and its fairly easy to lift, even my wife does it. That is without an AC unit, but with two kayaks on top (~50lbs each).

We did have the manual lift system fail when we were in Tahoe. The system was replaced by a dealer in Carson City. They said that the spring system for the racheting part fails on the big units (avalon, niagra, E4) every so often.
