A word to the wise is sufficient. Given the winter we had last year, and given the uncertainties of what the weather may be like in late December in the Pac NW, I would be researching alternative living accommodations up here if I were you. There is no way would I be planning on pulling my TT on an extended trip in this part of the country in the dead of winter. The weather could be a piece of cake or it could be completely nasty...no way of knowing without a crystal ball. Pulling a TT in nasty winter weather here would be insane.

I for one am planning on an alternate location for Christmas and that is going to San Diego for a week and staying at Paradise by the sea rv park. We're heading down the five, yes I have both sets of chains, and planning on a week to get there in case of bad weather. I don't plan on doing that trip in the snow again. Several years ago,we went to Stockton for spring break and got thru the siskiyou's ahead of the chain signs.. You didn't dare pull off the road into 6",or so,of wet snow.Last year, coming home the second week of April,we hit snow just before we got to Ashland and that hill is really no fun to come down in a heavy snowfall with all the idiots in their cars and motorhomes.
Coming home we're gonna do #1 and 101..
