On my truck I have so many gauges and switches under the dash that my P3 brake controller is not in a very good spot to see the display or make adjustments. After trying to find a good spot, I got wondering ... any reason why I shouldn't mount it on top of the dash? (not obstructing vision).

Really the only adjustments should come from the initial setup and after that you should really have to ever mess with it. Just got mine dialed in yesterday and now it stops like a dream.

Will say that I've not had to see the display, or make adjustments, while moving. You DO need to be able to get to the emergency override. Perhaps those thoughts will help?

My truck has the same layout as yours unless you've already added other switches, etc.. to it, but I was able to mount my Prodigy on the face of the lower panel to the left of the steering column with no problems at all. I would not want that ugly thing staring me in the face all the time on top of the dash.

On the 2005 Dodge, the panel left (door side) of the steering wheel is hinged, the connector is an easy reach for the pigtail, and the entire installation is less than 30 minutes. For that Tango, I need boost '2' and that should be about 'in the ballpark'. I have the same trailer, same truck, same controller.
