I've switched back and forth over the years. We currently run PCs mainly because we use programs that are not available on Macs, and I need to outfit the people who work for me with computers and PCs are the most economical option. I think Apple has very nice hardware and I have gotten some real junk from PC makers. We have gone with local companies that build our PCs for us. Cheaper than a name brand and I can tell them what hardware to use. Funny, I have not had any problems with Vista and cannot even think of the last time we had a crash in my department. I will admit the Apple ads are great and I can see how they would get people to switch.

I use a Microsoft or logitech Wireless mouse on my Mac Laptop and IMAC... I like the "back button'.. The Cost of a Mac is comparable to the cost of a SONY VAIO... The other day Kim Komando was making sales comparisons between MS PCs and Apple..She said Mac used to have 8.3 Market share but has now hit over 13.3 percent... She said, "does not sound like much, but it is almost Doubling... Meanwhile she claimed Ms sales are down...Her take is that Apple Macs are are Exploding"...

Apple doesn't do service packs they do updates.

MS does updates AND service packs.

Well here is something different.

You're truly late to the market share argument. We put that to bed months ago on many different threads.

Apple's OS share is growing rapidly, like it not.

I strongly considered the Mac Mini, but any internal expansion is very limited due to the small size. I never know if I might have an attack of Mod Mania.

As it is 'm going to install a Video card to replace the Integrated chip on my new HP.

And sevice packs are a "bad thing???" Not only do they fix issues, they can add features. Apple has already released one update to Snow Leopard and the second one 10.6.2 is in beta testing and will probably be released before the new year.

I'd love to meet the team of programmers who could lay down millions of lines of code without a single programming error!

Back in my telephone company days... a new "generic" software package for a #4ESS switching machine cost well over a million dollars. We'd load up the new generic and then spend hours loading software overwrites (patches) that had been issued to fix the various bugs in the new code.

The same obtained for a new BCS load for a Northern Telcom DMS. Load the new BCS and then spend days loading in the patches.

There ain't no such thing as a bug-free program if the program is of any respectable size.
