I just started towing my enclave. Had it upfitted with blue ox equip., the owners manual gives instructions including disconnecting the battery.. If you do that, how does the brake buddy function. Also, some people pull a fuse. What purpose does that serve?

Make sure you are reading the towing, not being towed instructions. You have also to disable the odometer or you will add miles on it, which is a fuse, if battery is hooked up. You need to read the brake buddy instructions, as it all depends on which system you have, as some work with air brakes and others with hydraulic brakes on RV.

I have a Saturn Outlook (same model) but do not tow it. It is too heavy for our MH. I think I remember an update coming from the manufacturer about using the fuse instead of disconnecting the battery. Have the dealer check on TSBs.

We do tow a Saturn Aura (from GM). One trick I learned was that after pulling the fuse make sure you open and close the driver's side door. This turns off all accessories. Otherwise the battery goes dead. We had this experience with a Saturn Vue, also a GM product.

http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/21440357/gotomsg/22596348.cfm#22596348 is how it works for us.

FYI, the original owner's manual said to disconnect the battery. Then an update (I have the Saturn official version) said to pull a fuse.

(I guess I don't know how to paste a link to another topic).
