Thinking of moving up to a newer Newmar Class A Tag axle. However, have talked to a few people who have experienced problems with the energy management systems - computers (they are on Essex and some Mountainaire's since 2005) that operate all the electrics. Just wondering if this has been a major problem or what others have experienced.
Appreciate hearing

Very few problems with the Intellitec EMS systems. The BIG problem is some don't understand that if NOT on true 50 amp service (cheated 50 amp service), then the EMS will only allow 30 amps of service. So, they think the EMS system is defective. Doug

I have not heard of many problems with those. Overall I hear they work pretty well. However, no personal experience.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

EMS in ours have been flawless for over 8 years and I really like they way it works. We camp often in COE Federal campgrounds where there is typically only 30 amp. The EMS works very well.

Flawless. It even saved us with a loose neutral on our transfer switch and prevented the 220 volts from frying everything. Simply wouldn't power anything up when it detected the error.

So do you have any other problems with your unit, is it a Essex or Mountainaire of Dutch Star?
