we made the mistake of purchasing a new truck with back interior without reaalizing it. the one we looked at had grey, but the dealer got us a different one for various reasons. Now i need to know of a vacuum of some sort that will plug in to the lighter or battery that is strong enough to remove all the WHITE dog hair and lint. HELP

You could trade up to a FIFTHWHEEL with a central vac system.

I have a Hand held Dyson DC 31 Animal works the best out of any that I have had. I have never run out of power to clean out the truck and I have the 110v outlet if I need to plug it in to charge.

How about just getting some seat covers. They make ones specific for dogs, to protect the backseat area.

There are lots of 12VDC vacuums out there, but I don't know if they will do what you want. Why not just use a shop-vac and plug into the 110VAC at the RV or shore connection with an extension cord to vacuum out. They make a few really small shop vacs that are a little larger than a paint can.

Other option....dye the dog

Very few if any 12v vacuums are any good - especially with stuff like dog hair in upholstery.

Inverter or extension cord and a "real" vacuum with a rotating beater brush is your only solution.

(wondering how a 5th wheel with a central Vac system is going to help with dog hair in his TOW VEHICLE?)

I guess now you know what you've been sitting on. Like others. I would, and do use some sort of seat cover where the dog sits, and make it stay there, or crate it. OR make the dog real happy, and let it ride in the back of the truck. If there is room. My dog LOVES to ride in the back. He will climb thru the back window to get back there.

An attempt at humor (failed) because this is the FIFTHWHEEL forum, not the truck wash forum.

I often try to be humorous also here on the forum and elsewhere and most often my attempts fail as well...

Masking tape! We had a friends dog in the back of our Buick Rainier and the shop vac would not get it all picked up. So I had to do the old strips of masking tape on the hand routine to get the rest of it.
