Think about it for a minute.

There are two main reasons people sell their RVs:

1. Something is wrong with it.
2. It's been sitting around, unused and neglected for a long period of time.

In either case, it usually involves a leak. People don't normally sell perfectly good RVs.

Notice I said NORMALLY, not never. Every so often you'll come across a good one at a good price. That's part of the thrill of the hunt! Just be patient and don't settle for the first one you look at unless it's absolutely perfect.

6. They are on this forum and are moving up to a bigger TC just to get a newer/larger/different unit.

Interesting. Fortunately I have had no issues with mine ( Maverick 1000SLLB ). But like you have read in these forums, EVERY maker has had a problem. Some minor, some not so minor. It is always up to the buyer to check all out before signing on the dotted line. If I had it to do again, I would but the same unit. If was about $10K less expensive then the others I looked at. I am a happy camper. And I get great responses from the factory when I call with questions.

I agree but this guy has so many problems with his camper its almost unbelievable. Leaks, delamination, poor fit and finish, loose toilet, ect. I feel sorry for him. If you can find his first videos he posted under a different name he was so proud of his camper. Now it seems like he's disgusted with it.

I watched Craigslist and RV Trader for about 6 months. I looked at about a dozen. We were looking for used and within our price range.

I went and watched all the videos posted about Palomino. Some were correct and I found them too but they were an easy fix. The water drain is limited for opening but it does allow all the water to drain out. Somethings are not the fault of Palomino like the choice of tie downs.

Even with those things shown I have added some little "fixes" to just make it more comfy for me. Knowing what I know and fixed what I have, I still believe that I got my dollar's worth of TC. It is always up to the buyer to see if it suits them and if they get their money's worth as well. This is a good discussion as many faults lie with a lot of units both new and used. New buyers should be aware and choose accordingly. It is a large investment and should be able to serve for many years. And again, the responsiveness of the factory at Palomino makes the choice a good one for me too.

I must add here that I have been a buyer and user of different RVs since 1966. I have owned many and NONE of them bought used. I don't find the construction of the Palomino TC and better or worse than what I have owned in the past except for one. I find it a WHOLE lot better than the NEW Itasca DP MH I had and got rid of due to rotten construction and NON responsiveness of that company. Overall I give Palomino high marks.
