How many of you Washington History buffs know that Port Townsend pledged to trade its votes for Olympia as State capitol in exchange for the promise of a State Prison?

How about the fact that Yakima had the choice of either the eastern Wash state fair or the agriculture college? Hint;Pullman doesn't have a fair.

Good chance to ask, does anybody know something I don't know about getting to Port Townsend from the east side of the Sound? Don't want to take the 5er through downtown Seattle to the ferry, so planning to go over Hwy 16 and Tacoma Narrows and around...

We are coming from Woodinville and will also be taking the Narrows bridge from a strictly financial basis. The ferry fare for our rig with a combined length of 50 feet is over $85 each way!! I can pay for the gas both ways for less than that! and enjoy a leisurely drive in the bargain.

Sorry we won't make it this year. I'm playing in a concert that Friday night in Mukilteo, then a family get-together Saturday near Bellingham

Well,I sent in the list today and will update the site assignments later.
On edit, The new site assignments are on the first page and were worked out with Rhonda at the parkas per when you wanted to arrive and leave and the size and configuration of your rigs.If you want to make any changes in dates, coming or going, you need to talk to the park.Check in is 1:00 PM.I guess they are having problems with folks getting there early hoping they can get campsites that might come available, but that doesn't normally happen here.
