Thank you.
A bit of research on the IRS shows it was only the '03-up Expedition, too new to be a real option. And the payload rating is also far too low.
More progress tomorrow.
'06 GMC C2500HD RCLB gasser 4.10:1, 4L80E, custom camshaft
'84 Trans Am 6.2 diesel, 700R-4, custom Class-3 receiver
'69 F350 dually. GM 6.2 diesel, turbo, 700R-4, NP208 all pending.

I braved the heat and tried tilting the 5er hitch, only to discover that the pins weren't bottomed in the cradles. I will need to cut windows in the deck.
The left end needs to be bobbed about 1/8" to clear the hatch strut, so I won't bend the new struts when I get them.

I just ordered Moog CC851 springs and Firestone 4103 airbags for the rear of this car.
I think I can just use the bags with the original springs for bumper-hitch, or just the new coils with no bags.
Stock rear coils have a static load rating of 520-580 pounds each, and a rate of around 105 pounds per inch, with an installed height of 10-10.25", an inside diameter of 4.30", and a wire diameter of 0.485"-0.500"
These spec at 1325 # / 440# / 10.0" / 4.25" / 0.703"
These bags are rated at 1000# per pair.
Cost to my door, for all of this, new, is under $170.

Just got the gas tank back in, no more difficult than before the bracing. Pics soon.

My new Firestone airbags arrived yesterday, they are blue, and so is the tubing for the air lines. I'm quite pleased, but pics will wait until the springs arrive.

Looking at the GM spring support brackets that were transferred from the stock axle to this axle, they are rather thin steel, and I'm feeling concern that they won't hold 3 times their original load.
Looks like I'll be making my own HD replacements today.

Here's the stock setup:

And here are the 2 sets I'm making, one for the Dana 60, one for the GM 10.5":

Outboard there was the original intent, but I laid the other one inboard:

And liked that better. So how to attach it?

Wait, that can be turned inboard also:

BTW, these are 2" x 2" x 0.250", 36" long, and will be bolted at both ends. I cut 4, 2 as seen and 2 more underneath. But the ground is still very wet. So, back to trying this in my asymmetrical-designed car:

I call that a problem. Minor, but needing attention.
