I'm not sure they can put the real weight since each trailer may have different options added at the factory. That said, they should add the pounds of each option they mention in their brochure. Also, what a filled 20# LPG bottle weights, and what the weight of the battery they put in the TT.

If they would just put those numbers in the brochure, it would help a great deal.

The two things that I think plague TT's the most (since I am a TT owner, I am speaking specifically of them) are leaking roofs and wood rot. If they could find a way to get this better, it would be a HUGE improvement. Water is a TT's worst enemy, and the roofs and wall structures of most TTs could stand a world of improvement.

I like the OP's first comment about eternabond on roofs straight from the factory.

For most B and some C makers, refuse to put cheesy cheap noisy battery-hog appliances like the little Suburban furnace in these sometimes-over-$100K-list 'campers'. It's not gonna get better until the intermediate buyers (RV makers) _insist_ on it. Disgraceful!

C makers, learn to install a dam' Onan generator properly. By properly, I mean with enough sound and vibration isolation & insulation that we don't have to be ashamed of running it in public. It can be done. Shameful!

To Dometic, since space prohibits mounting your cheap junk reefers on gimbals, install an 'off-level' safety switch. In this day and age of microelectronics and automation, you're leaving a hi-$$ critical function to fallible human judgement & memory. You deserve to be tarred & feathered!

Lastly, to Provan, thanks for doing a darn decent, although not quite perfect, job of putting my Tiger CX together. Best wishes for many more successes!

I just determine what is the maximum load the axle(s) are rated for and calculate a pin weight and go from there.

X10. (See my list earlier on this topic regarding RV furnace options being made available at purchase time.)

X10. (Winnie did a fairly decent job with mine, but could be better.)

mount ... your ... reefers on gimbals

X10. I'd pay $500 more for my MH to have the reefer on gimbals ... doesn't have to be gimbals that fully compensate for all angles ... just gimbals that keep the reefer more level under worst case non-level parking situations ... so that the reefer cabinet doesn't have to be too much larger. ( ... or better still ... have just the critical reefer guts on a gimbal - not the whole reefer)

1.)Make the axles on towables alignable.

2.)Have the ability to easily add multible batteries (more than 2).

3.)Large fresh water storage (I currently have 92 gallons of fresh water and it's fantastic!).

Umm,

When boondocking in he desert more than a week, I regularly dump the grey water onto the plants that desperately need the water. I like my 59 gallon black tank, and put up with the 42 gallon grey tank. I can transfer grey water into the black tank if someplace like Yosemite, where dumping would be stupid and illegal too. In a crowded campground, dumping water will be dangerous to your health, as well as those camping after you. However when in the dry and sandy desert, the water is quickly absorbed into the ground, and I bury mine about 12" down, so no flies are attracted, and no mess or smell.

Yes it is still legal to dump grey water in dispersed camping on BLM land, Don't know how long it will continue, yet it was OK last time I checked.

What do all these environmentalists think? The deer carry around a bag to go in? Get a life, a little fertilizer will not hurt the soil.
