Big Horn by Heartland which is a step down from the Landmark is probably more on the line of the Cardinal, Cedar Creek or Montana.

We see the heartland product to be practically indistinguishable from the Montana we now have. We are in the market for new 5th wheel and had not considered heartland simply because it was a indepdent manufacturere and more apt to go out of business than Keystone.

Now that Thor has purchased heartland they are back on our list.

I have owned 3 Montana's a 2003, 2006 and a 2010 and have a 2013 Landmark ordered. Should be here toward the end of next week. Seems like Keystone Montana have not really done much to improve there product in several years. Heartland seems to be a strong company and so far dealing with the Landmark Representative I have been impressed. He sent me a sequence of events as to what was to happen when during the order and construction of the new Landmark. I have read on here where there Customer Service is great. Ours is in the paint shop now gettign the full body paint.

The Bighorn and the Montana are comparable....the Landmark is definitely a step above the Montana...IMHO.

Yes I agree also. But when my wife want's to look at a unit. She gets to look at it LOL She for some reason wants to see the Cardinal with the fireplace in the back and no back window in the unit.
But I think after seeing the landmark's Saturday theres going to be on top of the list. There working up a quote tomorrow and letting us know what they will offer with our trade in. But thinking we will just sell our unit, unless they get wild with what they can offer. The owner told us he wanted our camper, as he knows people waiting to buy it.

Not for sure where you are located at in Tennessee but rvsforless.net in Knoxville are great to deal with and sell the Landmarks, Big Horn, Big Country, and DRV.

Montana must be doing something right since they are the number 1 selling 5th wheel in the USA. Heartland is a very nice unit. I think the Bighorn is the most comparable to Montana.

I study both makes at the Tampa RV show. I think that the Bighorn is a little better built then the Montana. I have been on both of their owners web sites and it seems that the Montana has more frame problems. JMO
