Well if the OP is buying a new rig then at this time graphics are kinda down the road a ways. Yes Montana has had a problem in the past with their graphics. Let's just hope by now they have rectified that problem. I have not seen or heard of a plastic end cap and would be interested to see how they hold up. Thank goodness it is on the rear because I sure would hate to smack a tree limb on a freezing cold day with the front cap. Can't see how that would end well at all. I think other then the normal PDI stuff that will need fixed if any is the tires. Check them out cause if that trailer has Marathons on it they are gonna be border line at that weight if not overloaded. For me if it weighs over 13-14k lbs then you are over LT tires and really need to look at the Goodyear 614's. If I was buying it that would be part of the deal that they put 614's on it. Otherwise it is just a ticking time bomb.

I like the idea of lifetime customer support and warranty on the Rv as well as all the vendor provided materials. My Ford or Honda does not do that. Maybe they can pick uo your crusade....
I would also like them to clean mine - inside and out - on a regular basis. It would also be helpful if they restocked the wine supply.
I wonder if they would send someone to do the dishes?

What if Montana no longer supplied the Black Tank that Richfaa has had to replace three times?

One thing that I will suggest you take note of on the 3402 floor plan: When the slides are closed, you cannot open any cabinets or drawers except for the laundry closet and the wardrobe in the bedroom. You cannot open the left fridge door, but the right side is accessible. Plan accordingly.
We now have the 06 3400 so are aware of the cabinets and drawers.never thought about the left side double fridge not opening but it makes sense. Wife will adapt .The double fridge is worth it.

Your experience and advice would be much appreciated: The plastic cap on the rear doesn't seem as good as the fiberglass rear we now have - do they hold up, do they crack?? Does the refer adn stove on a slide present a problem? Not to make this post sooooo long I'll stop with questions and just ask for your recommendation about this unit. Thank you for any and all responses.
Unless something has changed, the rear is still a fiberglass cap on the Montana.

Where did I say anything about lifetime support or warranty. 5 years old is not a lifetime. I am only referring to parts availability for purchase on a part that has proven to be troublesome for many Montana owners. These parts cannot even be purchased from Montana or Burlington graphics.

Front and rear caps on the Montana are Fiberglass. No problem with refer and fridge on slide in our 06 3400 in 6 years of use. It will be heavier on that side..

Apparently the wine supply was used up just prior to this post.
