To each their own but I gotta say IMO that's the most garish & ugliest thing I've ever seen.

Here's a 6x6 Dodge that I've personally seen in Moab doing Potato Salad Hill, this clip is not that obstacle but it does show the trucks got some go with its show. Sorry no stacks

'99 Alpine 36SDS/8.3 ISC 330 Cummins
Or
'05 Lance 845
'06 Super duty SC/SB 6.0
Upgrades include: StabilLoads, Air Bags & Timbrens,Swaybars

Usually towing an '01 Wrangler, lifted/locked on 35"s or a mildly built '98 Cherokee on 33"s (only one locker)

As I recall, the father finished that truck, the blue Dodge 6x6, it was originally being built by his son who died over in the Iraq War.

Love those stacks... what about instead of thru the bed have them come out the sides and then when you have the camper on just put a 30 degree angle and then up the sides of the TC.....go for it

Actually with my former (totally stock)'06 Cummins/manual trans, getting stupid highway tailgaters to back off was easy. At highway speed leave it in top gear and mash the pedal. Great black cloud that had them backing off pretty quick.

Shoulda' never sold that truck. Nutz.

I have a stock tune in my truck. I drive for economy as I used to teach that for a major truck engine OEM. I don’t blow smoke unless for some reason I have to stand on it. At that point if the pipes were up or down they would blow smoke. Not done unless there is a need.

Ken, you must be in the 1% of stack users then, I belong to Cummins Diesel Forum, and most of the folks with stacks have them so they can and I quote, "Roll the Coal".

Simply putting stacks on a rig doesn't make it able to roll the coal. How the exhaust exits the vehicle does not magically change the composition or looks of the exhaust.

Call me a 1%er then. I've been called that before. If I were on a track or there was a need to hammer it, I'm all down with that. Normal driving it doesn't happen for me. I'm a tree hugger from way back but more importantly, I by the fuel. It's obvious my truck is a diesel. I don't need to prove that or be an obnoxious neighbor by making smoke out there. No matter what is said here, they are popular with a large segment of truck owners. Like them or not, the're here to stay. When I get my TC I'll get another truck because I like the looks of my truck with them and won't take them down. Do I need them? Nope, had a perfectly good OEM exhaust up to a few years ago. I don't think there is a practical way to use them and a TC but if there is, someone will do it. I just hope they post a pic for the rest of us to see.
As always, just thought I would share my thoughts here this fine early morning.
It is oh dark thirty here....an hour before we see the sun and the DFAC will be open soon.
Gotta go.
Stay safe out there.
Ken

Nope, hence my original comment, most of the folks that I've seen with the stacks are detuning their engines so they more easily "Roll the Coal" whenever they apply the throttle.

Detune...he he he...I see you are one of those anti's. Would be pointless for me to have a discussion with someone with no frame of reference.

Totally amazes me of the numbers of posts that have nothing to do with anything. Stupid pictures, people telling the OP he is stupid, calling everyone with a different viewpoint stupid and nothing to answer the OP.
