Hi,

I'm a new subscriber with a question.
I have an old Travel Queen truck mounted camper that I have no further use for. I'm guessing it is from the 60's. The camper is no longer in good shape. I hate to just discard it. Are there parts I should remove, possibly parts that others may need and that are hard to find?
Any comments would be helpful.

Thanks,

Jerry

Yank the appliances and whatever else is in good usable/sellable condition, pull the aluminum siding off it and crush/burn/haulaway the rest of the junk wood carcass. You can sell the aluminum at the recycle scrap yard and sell the appliances to others who need them to fix up their campers.

I would try to sell it as is, and avoid the headaches.

Someone might be looking for a project or restore it.

You never know!

I would try to sell it on Craigslist

I would like to see pics of it on here if possible. Sometimes I see gold

Welcome to the forum. I would try to sell/give away the entire unit.
Put it on Craigslist and see what response you get.
Like others said, someone may be looking for a project.

Like the others I bought a fixer. But mine had already been worked on for a bit, so it was a good place to start. It was gutted, and needed the interior built, and a few things still on the outside fixed. If you do part it out, I know that others still look for pieces parts. Water pumps, appliances, Vent Hoods, hinges and latches. Windows and doors. Trim pieces, etc.
But if you just want it out of the driveway, I'd post it for free or real chap on Craigslist, and see what type of bites you get. Sometimes posting it for a small price weeds out the "dreamers" that say they want it, but never come to get it. Or just put "First come first serve" or "cash and carry" etc...

Just some thoghts...
