I noticed that my city uses these on our city buses. They're little arrows on the lug nuts. At first I couldn't figure out what they were, and then I realized that the arrows all point in the same direction and make it really easy to visually see if one of the lug nuts has loosened.

I can't tell if they make these for travel trailers though. Does anyone else here use these?

I use the same principle on my sand rail trailing arm bolts. I use a sharpie and draw a line across the bolt and nut.
I check them all the time and I can tell when the nuts start loosening up.

But no, I haven't used them on my toy hauler.

From the title of this and the other post, I thought this was going to be a list of forum members that dedmiston is calling crazy....... LOL

They are a great idea, should be on all RV's. Around her Purolator , UPS, and FED EX seem to use them.

I am a recent retiree from a large city fleet, we considered the indicators, but because of the amount of them we needed and the different sized lug nuts, We did not go that route. I told them to buy some "sharpies" or yellow "paint sticks" and simply draw a line on one of the flats and onto the wheel. When changing tires or servicing anything that requires wheel removal, a quick wipe with some Brake cleaner/Carb cleaner/Acetone removes the previous "art"

Ok, I went and looked, they come in 3/4", 13/16" and 7/8" which would fit just about any trailer.
The ones we were going to use in our fleet were different.

Yes, see them regularly in the Puget Sound area on Transit Buses and Muni Fleets. Also, on alot of large commercial vehicles. It is a great tool for "pre-trip" inspection and more reliable than lug nut rust tails on the wheels

Dave
You are "TIRED of looking at TIRE threads" yet you out there looking at tires/lug nuts
