Looks like a leaking clearance light to me. It may or may NOT still be leaking but it probably has at some point and no telling if the inside is damaged or not.

From a leason learned the hard way. Polyester resin(fiberglass) doesn't stick to wet wood. If it was a boat,I would think about injecting epoxy resin in the voids. Check out West epoxy on how to,then use "Cold Cure"

I doubt if the front wall is laminated construction. It looks more like bad workmanship or if it is laminated bad glue? If you look at the front window cover it has the same issue. If you can see any signs of water damage on the inside I would definatley pass.

That's delamination, and it's caused by a leak some place. I bet if you opened that up, you'd have lots of rot and mold. If you're interested in saving some real money, use that as a negotiator. Be sure to contact an RV dealer to find out how much that will cost to replace. A friend of ours had a similar problem, and it cost him several thousand to have the front cap replaced and the roof recovered.

Hi,

Couple of things worth noting.

Sidewall and front/back construction are different.
Sidewalls start out as big, flat, laminated sheets that are cut to the required dimensions.

Front and rear are many times "built up" during assembly, that is how they get the curved surface.

As for value. aquistion cost vs. total investment vs. residual value.
take it a shop for repair and you'll be upside down fast.

Buy it dirt cheap. If you are handy and can glue it, screw it, and patch it, then you might get years of enjoyment for very little $.

As referenced in an earlier post, Injectible epoxy is avaialable through Composet Products at
www.delamrepair.com.
