I was at REI yesterday, they do have the new (aluminum frame) Xpress lounger XL in stock, it's a little bigger but lighter version of the regular Xpress lounger.
A bit over a year ago, Outdoor World/Bass Pro Shops had the steel model of the Express Lounger for over $10 cheaper than REI. Dunno if this will hold true for the aluminum ones.
Personally, I find the EL's bolt-upright seating position fine for socializing & eating but quite uncomfortable for reading or loafing.
