Every one that has a RV should check with their fridge mfg for recall information… there are possibly up to 3 million of them that have been recalled and they seem to expand the number included in the recall all the time… some having been recalled a second time even…

I don’t know, and many here don’t agree, but it seems to me and is my opinion that most of the recalls have occurred after they decided to improve the cooling units to make them more efficient and be less temperamental… and when they stopped stressing the importance of being level and started saying they only needed to be almost (comfortably) level…

The one in my previous RV is 1987 vintage and works. But the newer ones are apparently more problematic? When and if my current unit dies (it is 8 years old) I will replace it with a residential unit.
