I disconnect the toad, tow bar is self storing on the MH and rock shield I lay under the back of the MH. Could lock it to the tow bar or MH hitch, problems in 2 years witout locking it (my rock shield is homemade from a roof top wind deflector so may be no one wants it). Your Falcon is self storing on the MH correct, so as long as you have a locking pin it should be alright.

I put it on in the spring and take it off for winter storage. This gives me a chance to touch up the paint and check everything out before next season. I don't want to have any winter time salt on my expensive tow system.

I also have a Falcon II tow bar. I only leave the cross bar and supports on the front of the car for a few days if I'm not towing the car. If I know that I will not be towing again for a week or more, I take all that stuff off the front of the car. No sense carrying more weight around than needed.

I also have a falcon II and leave it on the car covered by a Nextopper from Roadmaster. http://www.roadmasterinc.com/products/accessories/crossbar_cov.html
