Before picking up my RV I looked at the different sewer hoses available and bought the RhinoFLEX sewer kit.

I found out that the RhinoFLEX hose connection is too big to work on my setup at the RV. I need a connection with a smaller collar. The Dominator hose from Valterra looks perfect.

Here's my question: Can I buy the 5' short dump hose from Valterra and connect it to my RhinoFLEX hose? Are the connections compatible? Otherwise I guess I'll just get the entire Dominator Kit, but I don't like the features as well as the RhinoFLEX.

Interesting... I thought they were all the same.

Anyway...If the end of your terminator hose has the bayonet studs...the rhinoflex kit can join to it.

I uses a Valterra Hydroflush and T-58 twist on gate...before my Rhinoflex to aid in flushing the tank. The tailpiece on the Rhinoflex KIT model has a proprietary connector for their included 90 degree sewer pipe adapter. It works very well...but you can't daisy chain another sewer hose on that end. It has to come before the RhinoFlex hose KIT hose.

I have a 5' Rhinoflex hose extension for those campsites that the 15' hose alone can't reach. I also made a cool little adapter so that I can use the 5' Rhinoflex hose extension to connect to my Barker Tote Along.

Gadgets...wow, have I got a collection of gadgets.

If I understand, you can't get the Rhino Flex into the storage tube, or did you meant it wouldn't go in a spot where it hooks to your outlet? I have been known to file the grip ridges off a rhino hose so it would go in. Also they are made to easily screw off the ends, so it will fit in storage tube. However I have found they are hard to turn so you can screw the ends off. My hands are small and a lot of arthritis. However; I love the Rhino Flex hose. We bought the heavy duty one last year. Very good hose.

Have the exact same problem. Bought a Valterra "compartment hose" that is about two feet long, hook it to the outlet, drop it through the compartment hole and hook up my Rhino - simple and still have two great hoses.

Ditto on cutting off the grip ridges - makes them fit places where they'd otherwise not.

Only downside I've found to RhinoFex is that to extend the hose you need to use a double-ended female coupling - and that takes removing the fittings from one end of each hose. I keep one with the coupler permanently mounted, so I only have to swap out one.

they are just enough different to make them not work, go to you dealer and see if you can get an adapter, if not you will either have to take off your sewer end and put on a end that will work. valterra is the less used of the the two. valterra only works with valterra hoses and the other will work with 90% of the hoses out there. if you are on a trip and the sewer hose breaks you can go to wally world and get a hose that will work with the other ends.

What???

The RhinoFlex hose kit that I have has a female bayonet (hook) on one end...and a proprietary connector for the 90 degree sewer pipe adapter at the other end. The Rhinoflex hose extension has a female bayonet (hook) at one end...and a male bayonet (lug). They go together just fine without any adapters. You must have a different Rhinoflex hose than mine...

I do use a double female (hook) adapter for the barker tank w/ the 5' Rhinoflex hose extension...

i must be doing something wrong......my rhino has fit in two different bumpers just fine - with both ends on even (you do have to take off the piece that actually screws into the sewer inlet at the CG...the part that attaches to the 90 at the far end of the hose).

Thanks for all the replies... looks like I'll have to do this by trial and error. I've ordered the Valterra "compartment hose". If that won't hook to my RhinoFLEX, then I'll go with the entire valterra setup.

BTW: the reason the RhinoFLEX won't connect to my outlet on the RV is that the RV is made so the hose goes out the bottom of the coach. The outlet is positioned close enough to the opening in the bottom of the coach so that the RhinoFLEX hose can't make the turn downward. It's all about the size of the collar on the RhinoFLEX.

Unless you have a different Rhino than I do, the Valterra compartment hose will fit. As you say, the problem with the Rhino itself is just that the collar is too large. I tried filing off the grip knobs and got it to go through the opening, but trying to maneuver it out after dumping, with the usual liquid still left in it was not fun. The compartment hose eliminated that.
