I drove by there several years ago, but did not stop. There's nothing directly on the highway.
On that trip, we camped in Escalante (state park), drove past Bryce, on to Cedar Breaks and Brian Head, and to Cedar City, and then to Caliente NV, where we staying in a motel near the historic RR terminal. The next day drove to Tonopah were we got gas, and on to Big Pine (where we camped).
The Ale-Inn ? is there, right in the centre of town! It is memorable for only one reason, the worst burger I have ever had on this side of the Atlantic, and the second worst in the world!
I don't believe in astrology. I am a Gemini and
we're very skeptical.
It is out in the middle of nowhere, Not much there other than the Little A'le'Inn Just down the road is the famous Steve Medlin Mailbox, and the entrance to Area 51/Groom Lake. I just checked it out for the heck of it, I didn't see anything unusual.
I love camping in Nevada, and I must say Rachel would be near the bottom of my list of places to go. There are SP's near Pioche and Caliente and camping at the NWR south of Alamo that would all be far preferable.
Well, I am almost ashamed to say why I want to go there. It's kind of a bucket list thing. We are only staying there the night and leaving first thing in the AM on the way to Tahoe.

hahaha...now that`s cute!!!
Rachel is a nowhere place, for sure...but...the ladies in the cafe will tell you stories of stuff going on. There really is nothing there but a fuel pump and a cafe and few trailers that folks live in. If you are okay with boondocking, there are dirt roads everywhere. Just find a spot and you are home, for the night. If you have a good star night, it`ll be fabulous!
