Some campgrounds/state/county/federal parks will charge just for the use of their dump station. Just give them a call or stop in at a campground if you are traveling. Ditto on the Sanidump website.

As has been said, no need to kill germs unless you know something you have not told us. A little bleach will make them smell cleaner.
The "Geo Method" uses laundry detergent. The linked article will explain what your waste tanks need. You do not need to follow the suggestions, but dumping a cup or so of laundry detergent in your waste tanks and then driving the unit around several blocks will act like a clothes washer.

You can buy a wand that attaches to a garden hose to wash out the black water tank, it doesn't need to be sanitized. We wash it once or twice a year. IMHO you don't have to do anything at all to the grey water tank. When we first started RVing we used to sanitize the fresh water tank with bleach according to the Pleasure Way instructions but no longer do so. We drink bottled water. If you need a small amount of water for brushing your teeth, etc. you can use water that has been thru the hot water heater. This works for us.

The easy way to clean them is put a small amount of water, your favorite sanitizing cleaner (Lysol, Pinsol, etc) dump in some ice and drive around letting the ice do the scrubbing, then dump.

I think everyone is correct about not sanitizing your holding tanks.
Has anyone used Chlorine instead of bleach in your fresh water tanks? Makes sense to me since swimming pools use it all the time.

I use chlorine bleach such as Chlorox, since it's easy to purchase and safe to handle for sanitizing the FW tank.

We use Chlorox. It is in the house anyway for laundry. You could use any bargain bleach. You are going to pay more for chlorine made for swimming pools and I am not sure it is the same strength.
There are also sanitizing solutions sold for RVs by companies like Camco that can be used - these are not supposed to put a bleach taste into the water. In a Class B with its smaller water tanks than the larger RVs make sure to proportion the amount of bleach to water that you use.

This depends on how big your fresh water tank is? We have two tanks that total 25 gals together. We used a half cup into each of the two tanks - one cup total. It was perhaps more than necessary. If it is too much it takes more flushing to get it out and rid the taste. If it is too little it does not do the job.
Here is a link to an article on my site about sanitizing the fresh water tanks on my Roadtrek. Read the section at the bottom about sanitizing the tanks.
